Наличное денежное обращение затрагивает все сферы экономической деятельности человека. Именно поэтому вопросам наличного обращения денежных средств, контролю и надзору за движением наличных средств уделяется так много внимания со стороны государственных органов. Комментируемый Федеральный закон от 22 мая 2003 г. № 54-ФЗ "О применении контрольно-кассовой техники при осуществлении наличных денежных расчетов и (или) расчетов с использованием платежных карт" является одним из основополагающих нормативных документов, регулирующих наличное денежное обращение в России, а также регламентирующих государственный контроль предпринимательства с использованием расчетов наличными денежными средствами и платежными картами. В первом разделе пособия содержатся материалы о банкнотах образца 1997 г. модификаций 2004-2010 гг., которые преобладают в налично-денежном обращении России. Второй раздел представляет данные о банкнотах выпусков 1998 и 2001 гг., которые все реже встречаются в обращении, хотя и остаются законным средством платежа. В третьем разделе приводится информация о российских монетах. Четвертый раздел посвящен банкнотам ранних выпусков, выведенным из обращения и аннулированным.
